  • Fourth time I have had this wine and the best yet. This was a surprise bottle since I did not have it in Cellartracker. Paired with beef borguegnon. Solid crimson color. A well rounded wine with cranberry, cherry and earthy notes. Interesting rustic finish. 92 points.

  • 3rd time I have had this. A sweeter style of Pinot and on the fruity side which I find atypical for a wine from Cadeaux. Firm acidity with cherry and cranberry notes. Drink now. 89 points.

  • My last bottle out of eight. Few wines inspire me to write tasting notes, this is one of them. Ruby red with the slightest bricking but not all the way to the core; This is just singing, beautiful aged pinot showing some smoky and spice notes, clove, nutmeg, vanilla bean; on the palate this is fresh yet mature, dark cherries. Elegant and mouthfilling with a medium finish. Beautiful from a weak vintage.

  • New Years Eve Celebration (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Medium red color. PNP, drank 1+ glass over 90 minutes. This didn't start to really show for a good 20 minutes and then just kept improving over the next hour. The typical perfume of earth, dried flowers and high toned complex spices mixed with red fruits, mostly cherry comes through gradually and builds over an hour. The palate showed some slightly green elements that largely evened out over the first hour, cherry, underbrush, spice and some residual wood notes. Still has plenty of life left. I wish i would have tucked a couple of these away to revisit every 3 years for the next decade. 92+ to 93pts.

  • Needed 30 min to open and then revealed a potpourri of red and dark fruits, earth, spice and dried flowers. Typical lean Oregon texture with a silky mouthfeel, drying tannins and good grip. As with virtually all well-made 2007 Oregon pinots, this defies the wine critics characterization of the vintage.
