This is not your everyday wine. A big flavorful Zinfandel from Lodi’s half to century year-old vines. Mature round tannins accenting generous raspberry chocolate, mocha and spice. This zinfandel is truly a delectable expression of Lodi’s signature terroir.

The wine instantly jumps out of the glass with its freshly grated cinnamon and sappy boysenberry fruit. Boisterous and brambly this comes at you like a tidal wave of flavor, drenching your palate in black pepper, blueberry, fennel and homemade pie crust. The even better part is that this will not set your mouth on fire; the usual high octane levels of alcohol are perfectly balanced.

Deep violet/garnet. Ripe, black fruit, cassis, petrol, oak spice, and vanilla nose. Lush, super-ripe, black fruit palate is densely packed flaunting a thick, raisiny edge, and sweet mocha on the back end.

No formal notes. 1 hour decant. Good flavors of cherry, plum skin, spices and a hint of cream. Paired well with roasted chicken and root vegetables. Good/Very Good. 85-87
