  • Color has slightly matured to a more golden yellow, but the wine still smells freshly floral with a hint of citrus. Good balance and smooth in the mouth. A touch of RS and a little short on acid, but still a solid wine at a decent price. I got a whiff of oxidation with the first pour so if you still have these it is time to drink up.

Mine are gone, but I clearly need to stock up on the current vintage of these Italian charmers. (could use some QPR CdRs also).

  • I know that Trebbiano is the oft-belittled varietal of Italian whites, but how can you knock a wine that gives this much enjoyment at this price point. We ordered a mix of Chinese appetizers for dinner (what do you call Chinese Tapas?) and pulled this wine in quasi-desperation: so many flavors, so many sauces, what could possibly match? Well this did. Slightly sweet, but with a solid backbone and a full cleansing mouthful. There is no wow factor for this wine. No one is going to be impressed that you pulled the cork on this bottle. But if you need to kick back after a stressful day and reconnect with what really matters--here is a good place to start.

  • pleasant but not very pronounced, some green herbs and asparagus, complements salads well very smooth and food friendly, muted acidity but with tart citrusy finish.
