Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • Not a producer that I've had a ton of experience with but recently I've been buying champagne with age because it's just much better than the young stuff and so I took a flyer here and very glad we did. It's drinking really well. Interesting and complex and well balanced. Really enjoyable.

  • My sense is that this could use a few more years, but seems to be well put together. Medium bodied but a bit tight. Reminds me a bit of the Taittinger 1996 BdB Comtes which likewise still seems rather youthful. While I don't think this will hit the heights of the Taittinger, both seem to merit some further aging to gain more nuance. G. loves this, but I'd rate it 88-90 for current drinking.
