This had a ripe, toasty, mature character found in old wine. Fresh and baked cherries, plums, cobwebs, and lots of leather on the nose. The fruit is fading but this was smooth, structured, offering good depth, and a dry, plum finish that lingered nicely. I wish I could have tasted this in its youth for its fruit and freshness, although air did bring out tasty, dried fruit flavors.

Very traditional in style. Muted nose. Earthy on the palate with dark fruits, plum, blackberry and figs. Medium finish. Needs a good dose of air. Unwinds in the glass. Nice effort and QPR but no repeat purchase for me.

Good and fun. Traditional Dolcetto that is rustic and food friendly. My only fault was some bitterness on the finish. Got better with air so I suggest a decant on the next go around.

This does need air. After two days in fridge, vacuum sealed, it was quite good. Nothing earth shattering, but nice notes of fruit.

Consistent with previous bottles, solid, easy drinking Dolcetto from a great producer, very good with pizza and spaghetti and meatballs.
