  • 40% Roussane, 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette and 10% Bourboulenc. Color is gold, medium plus iin intensity. The nose is clean, medium plus in intensity, with tropical fruit, melon, orange rind, honey and hazelnuts. The nose is developing, if not developed. The palate is dry and round, with medium acidity, medium plus alcohol and body. The flavor intensity and length are medium. The palate is consistent with the nose and has a noticeable mineralitiy. This is a very well-made and interesting wine, which is showing some signs of age. It would be interesting to try the 2009, which is the current release year. Drink now, as it is probably at or past its peak.

  • Drank with melon and ham from Parma as starter and grilled chicken served with Risoni (rice like pasta) as main course. The melon tones in the wine combined nicely with the starter. The Risoni was mixed with tomato, which was perhaps too sweet for the fairly dry wine. Excellent wine which was better with the starter, but was not bad with the main course.

  • John AC's -- This grows on me each time I have it! A lovely honeyed color, nose of oily minerally goodness. Plump on the palate but a good stony minerality and taut fruit keep balance.

  • Showing fresher and more alive this time, yet with lotsa nice honeyed hazelnut and candied elements (but bone dry). A bit darker yellow in color, a tad worrisome, but showed well.

  • CdP Blancs are always fascinating wines, not for everyone but interesting. This one was honeyed golden in color with an assertive nose of candied orange rind, almond brittle and kerosene. Very unique nose. On the palate the wine is less intense somewhat but still loaded with exotic spices and candied dried citrus, as well as some dry Sauternes elements.
