I was hoping to avoid tropical flavours, pronounced smokiness, and a medium buttery body but that's what I got with this one. Not my favorite chardonnay style but maybe somebody else's?

(Vasse Felix Margaret River Chardonnay) #2; COLOR-golden; NOSE-some subtle oak; peach and apple; and some butter; PALATE-there's true acidity on the back-end that provides good balance and almost Riesling-like petrol nuance and flavor; peach and apple; little bit of butter; some really nice nuances; apple sauce and flinty minerality on the back-end; in a blind, I might think this is Chablis with some sunshine fruit; I like this wine; reminds me of the '08 Clos Blancheau James Berry Vineyard Chardonnay from Ep #841; and a good food Chardonnay; GV-90

Fresh with a good balance. Nice fruit nose of mellon and pear.

Thin for my tastes, but if you like clean unoaked Chardonnay, this is not a bad choice for the money
