Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+ (Bin 75): See through dull ruby with rose hues; tart cherry, good depth, rose, light raspberry, spearmint, cooling nose; soft on palate initially, sour cherry, good tannin comes in on the finish, clay?, fresh but a slight graininess to the texture, lots of cherry pit; called '05 Billard-Gonnet Chaponnieres.

Avant Partir Burgundy Tasting (Pearson's - Atlanta, GA): Good powdery and pungent nose with dark cherry, raspberry, light earth and a vanilla streak that carries over nicely on the finely textured palate that starts light, has a polished middle and picks up weight on the full, medium-to-long finish.
