  • This wine is very pleasant, apricot on the tongue to very light honey on the finish – not syrupy fairly light. Multi use as well as an ingredient for baking for sauces, as well as a couple of ounces over ice or in sangria - still holding on for a 2005.

  • Apricot jam and honey Very syrupy, as expected, but not as sweet as some. Really enjoyable after 3 hour decant.

  • Left overs from last nights party that I didn't get to try until today. Ken picked this up in Lodi when we went tasting there following his 30th birthday backpacking trip. This stuff had 37 brix at harvest, has 9% residual sugar, yet still comes in at 17% alcohol! That heat is definitely coming through on the nose, but there's also apricots and a green pinecone. Almost feels mentholated when I smell it due to the alcohol. This stuff will clear your sinuses! Very light, not very creamy in the mouth, but certainly sweet showing lots of apple soaked in maple syrup. If I keep it in my mouth too long the tongue starts to burn. Sweet. Very straight forward on the finish showing apricots and caramel apple. Not a long or evolving finish. An interesting wine to be sure, and it is actually fairly tasty. There are signs that give the alcohol away, but it really doesn't feel hot at all on the finish, which is pretty impressive.
