nose of raspberry, tar, blueberry, cedar on the palate berry, tar, leather, soft pepper. acidity is sharp with a medium long finish, not overly complex but very respectable for the low $7 price tag - a great QPR.

My second go at this. Tried against Cali Zin for fun. This now has very muted and faint nose of some hints of dark berry fruit and dust. The palate is light bodied, some old world flavour notes and dark plum/berry notes. Finish is decent enough, but simple and not much else.
Average wine with little dimension. The Cali zin had a little more "something" to it...of course completely different style/winemaking - but always interesting how vastly different the same grape can turn out depending on the usual variables. Cheers
Rich nose of boiled blackberries, plums and a hint of vegetable soup. Intense mouth of high-cocoa dark chocolate and dark berries with a touch too much charcoal. Big flavours and although not sophisticated has good acid to make for a clean finish. Impressively long (for a cheaper wine) but subtle finish of blackcurrant and licorice.

Like others, simple, light cherry fruit notes with some acid/earthyness in there
