I recently bought this one for $65 from a liquor store that used to be higher end. It was very dusty. I was nervous about it, and the cork mostly disintegrated when I opened it. After I filtered out all the pieces of cork, the wine actually ended up being very good. It still had a lot of red fruit and some dusty tannins. There was just the slightest hint of vinegar on it so I certainly wouldn't wait any longer to open it if you still have some. It did take a while to open up.. needed about 2 hours of air

allowed to decant for 2 hours. Meaty aromas with plum, blackberry, wild blueberry, leather, violets, with vanilla, oak, espresso, light baking spices and hints of tobacco and fig. On the palate the acidity is very alive, at a medium+ level. moderate tannins, and pure flavors of blackberry, wild blueberry and plum with notes of game meats, camphor, violets, vanilla and a touch of chocolate, earth and espresso.

From a bottle that had been opened about 4 hours. Deep, dark maroon color. Big nose with blackberries, smoked meat, black pepper, cherries, baking spices, and hints of vanilla and violets. Full bodied with solid, ripe tannins and good acidity. Massive on the palate, full of spicy fruit with just bit of earthiness, but the good acidity hold everything together very nicely. Long spicy finish. This is drinking wonderfully but there is no hurry on this wine.

I just opened my last (and oldest) Haley, and I couldn't be happier :)
It's a velvetbomb! All of the big tannins and rich character we get form this wine has mellowed into a great blend of the bold and the beautiful.
For reference, we opened an 07 from my same cellar, and the difference is pretty dramatic. This wine is turning a very interesting corner right now.
