Drank from Coravin in Copake. Distinctive bricking in the glass demonstrating the age on this wine. Nose of stewed fruit, and burnt rubber. Medium body, black cherry fruit still apparent but fading. Still tannins that are on the harsh side, solid acidic core. A bit sour on the finish. Tertiary notes of meat, herbs, tar and earth. Drinking much better than expected.

Opened one hour in advance. Aroma of cherry and dishwater. Rich, earthy cassis flavor up front, spicy mint in the finish. Lovely, linear, drinking well. Probably time to drink up.

Nice brick red, but a bit pale for a Cornas. Bq w smoked meat, minerals, herbs. Rounded tannins, good acidity, fruit beginning to fade, red currants. Nice aftertaste w tar, sloe berries, some alcohol. Not a powerful Cornas. Drink up within this year.

Decanted. Sarts out real tight, shy nose of earth & red berries. After about 2 hours, the nose has opened only a little, adding camphor and a hint of mint leaves. On the palate, still tight, bright red fruits, some citrus. Very elegant and well made wine, more like cote rotie than cornas. Good food wine. I'd like to try again in a few years. 88+

Garnet. Nose has a hint of a medicinal component, garrigue. Mouth similar, smooth. Very good. Age helped.
