  • My first '94 BdB ... not sure who else declared this. Just beginning to turn, color-wise. A bit of gold showing up in the mostly translucent yellow. Medium mousse. Nose of yeast, apples, and a hint of marzipan. On the palate, nice complexity, with tart (but not unpleasant) citrus , apples, and a bit of cream/bread dough. I think this has potential, but it's never going to be fantastic. But, it's available for about $35 if you look hard, and it's not bad now. More elegant than powerful, more subtle and enjoyable than impressive.
