  • After having multiple bottles with strongly positive results, I'm upgrading my review and encouraging immediate consumption because it's better than ever; drink right now!

    My old notes are below:
Time is pushing the limits of this wine but it still has very good earthy notes and excellent structure; somewhat reminiscent of a decent Burgundy. A bit heavy on the vanilla bean and new oak, but it scores high on the QPR.

  • Coffee notes and funkiness on the nose. Impressive-blackberry, reduced plum, chocolate and spice. Supple texture yet has a spine presenting great acidity and tannins. Melt in your mouth finish-rich and spicy. Has another 5 years easy.

  • On spot, a ripe structured Pino with all you'd expect from this winemaker and the region...a home-run!

  • nose - great nose, complex, licorice, fresh turned soil, coffee
mouth - great vinosity, very concentrated, wow wine, even better than when i had it in 2010. flavors of blueberry, cassis, licorice, dark rich fruit for a pinot, yet not heavy, good acidity, and surprisingly tannins on the finish. Whoa! with a little more earthiness i could be convinced this is a red burgundy. Fabulous, wish i had more. Fermented with 10% stems, perhaps adding to complexity? Better over the next few years.

  • Dramatic notes of both red and black fruit here with a foundation of earth, forest floor and spring flowers. Subtle and yet very inviting with sweet tannins and intense purity of fruit. Juicy, spicy and broad with a noticable sweetness on the mid-palate. Not overly complex but does offer a hint of stems on the finish. Nicely made wine.
