This was perhaps the best bottle of Oregon pinot I've ever had. Lush, lively, great fruit, full bodied without being too much, it surprised me how intact it still is after 12 years. Time to drink if you have it, but it could still live for some time. Wonderful wine from a wonderful producer.
Found a few bottles on a back shelf in wine storage. Very impressive balance of red cherry and strawberry with elegant earthy aromas with moderate spice. Very similar flavor profile on palate, showing lots of energy that keep this lengthy and exciting vs. many other Willamette 2002s with less acidity that are less interesting today.
Lots of bright red fruit with some floral hints. Strawberry and Rainier cherry flavors with nice structure from elegant tannins and good acidity. I think this will evolve nicely as it becomes less primary and worth holding to at least 2007 or later.
