This is drinking superbly at the moment. Still has very good colour to it and will even cellar a few years more. What an amazing bottle! I was given this as a gift, wish I had another one...

Retains a dark hue. Strong blackcurrant tobacco/cigar box and raspberry strap nose. Surprised there is no Coonawarra mint there? Delicious blackberry and milk chocolate fruit. Some pleasant leathery notes. Superb length.

5 years since my last bottle and the oak has receded into the background allowing the fruit to shine
Colour inky garnet with purple hues , brick red on the edges, wine has only penetrated the cork by 1-2mm so excellent cork quality 15/15 Nose intense black fruits currents berries, cassis cedar chocolate liquorice , violets , rich and complex nose spice leather earthy beautiful balance 29/30 Palate full flavoured rich black fruits blackcurrent black berry , silky mouthfeel good acidity/tannins on the finish oak is in the background now with hints of vanilla and coconut 42/44 Overall super aged Coonawarra Cabernet drinking at its peak . Another example of Coonawarra Cabernet needing 20years to shine 9/11

I wasn't expecting much form this wine as I havent' had much success with aged Australians. This cab was drinking beautifully at it's peak. Slight vegetal notes. Drink up as this is at it's peak starting to decline.

Another Coonawarra Cabernet 15yo A quick decant but in hindsight this wine needs at least 2-3 hours Colour garnet with purple hues , clear on the edges, wine has only penetrated the cork by 1-2mm so plenty of life left here Nose black current cassis cedar chocolate liquorice rich and complex nose Palate full flavoured plenty of fruit and chewy acidity/tannins on the finish the use of new oak has made the wine very austere which is dominating the fruit at this stage Overall pretty good Cabernet
