Found this in my cellar. A surprising find. I thought they were long gone.
On the pop and pour I thought this was corked. It had an overwhelming savory note to the nose as well as the palate. There was fruit under all that and I could sense it so I left it alone for awhile. Luckily the reduction blew off and the wine opened very nicely. Lots of savory red and black fruit, pepper and spice. Very well done and worth the tarrif.

Popped and decanted. Lots of sediment. Nose of campfire and burnt orange. Palate had plum and cedar. Wine started to integrate the wood influences at about four hours, but it was mostly gone at that point.

Popped and poured. Could have used a decant, just for the sake of sediment. On the nose, there were elements of maple bacon, soy sauce, mushroom and sage. The palate was much more weighted to the fruit with notes of blackberry, plum and black currant. No perceptible heat from the alcohol. Medium weight on the mouth feel. Balanced acid. Sweet vanilla wafer on the finish. Would purchase again.

Color: Inky black in the glass all the way to the rim. Completely opaque.
Nose: Complex, rich, smoky, nice.
Palate: Rich fruit with a full palate of flavors. A big wine. Lots to enjoy. Nice finish. Hides it's 14.9% alcohol well. No heat noticeable. Well balanced.
Would buy again.

(Pomum Cellars Syrah Columbia Valley) Dark and purply in color. An appealing, understated nose with ground spices, stone, bittersweet chocolate, a light earthiness, herbal streaks, and brambly fruit. On the palate, round and firm with a tight core of black fruit and a pleasing citric uptick toward the finish. Opens up and evolves over time and promises to mature well in the bottle. More Old World in style than most being made in Washington. 100% Syrah. Upland (Snipes Mountain) and Elerding (Horse Heaven Hills) vineyards. Aged in used 225 liter French (77%) and 500 new liter (23%) French oak. 14.9% alcohol. 215 cases produced. Give one year or decant.

Very nice. Fruit forward but with ample structure and balance of fruit tannins and acid.
