Wine was too simple. Bouquet: Apple, chickpea, lemongrass, hay. Slight legume singe on the forward nose. Palate: Mild mid tart, cheese, vegetable oil, soft grape.

A medium straw / light golden coloring. A somewhat muted nose which never opened (although allergies didn't help.) Crisp and dry, with notes of apple, pear and quince in a simple uncomplicated manner. Wine started to fade after about 1.5 hours, so this is probably getting close to the end of its drinking window.

Tour - Santa Barbara / Santa Ynez / Solvang 2008; 11/20/2008-11/27/2008 (Santa Barbara / Santa Ynez / Solvang, CA): Good, but not as great as winery advertises. Bouquet and taste marmalade, pears, butter. Acidic middle. Moderate buttery finish. Estate grown. Aged 8-10 months in French oak. $35/bottle - overpriced.
