On its own, this probably would have been too extracted for my tastes; paired with a rich mushroom pasta, it's lovely. The food balances the weight of the fruit, and the earthy mushrooms really let the herbal and forest floor aspect of the wine step forward. Feels like this is in a good place for current drinking, but lots left in the tank.
Dark red color. Aromas of wild cherries. On the palate, silky, elegant nouthful flavors of dark cherries, bramble, earth and forest floor. Maturing beautifully. A great Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir. (Linda loved this wine)
I really really liked this wine. Deep red color, fantastic aroma out of the bottle, nice flavor but underwhelming at first. After 3 hours decant, lovely, just amazing flavor. fantastic. Took some time to come out but wow!
