Nose: hot and herbaceous, with horseradish overlaying raspberry. Palate: sweet, juicy blackberry and raspberry on the entry, balanced by bitter herbal notes (oregano, thyme, rosemary). With time, the structure loosens, revealing a smooth, rich texture, with a highly acidic cranberry note and a hint of vanilla. Very good, and will continue to improve for a few more years.

Classic Wines of Australia by Jeremy Oliver: Eucalypt lifted dark forest fruits with some crayola. Concentrated dark fruits but with a twig of green sprig thrown in. Seductive powdery sweetness on palate. Very very controlled. Powdery tannins.

Great nose - very ripe but lush; lots of flavour here, dominated by mint and eucalyptus. A bit disjointed but not bad.
