Bought three years ago. It has lost the grassy aroma and flovor that is characteristic of NZ Sauvignon Blancs, leaving only guava, candy apple and an aroma that I can't place but seems like a nutty desert wine. This wine has aged very well and is better than when new. On the palate, there is a mixure of guava, candy apple, granny smith tart apple, and something a bit reminiscent of an aged late harvest reisling. I know that makes no sense, but it's there. This was a very easy drinking light white with a sweet feel to is even though there was probably zero RS and acid in the background reminiscent of tangerine or madarin orange citric acid.

Almost too grassy for me but refreshing. If all I had in my pocket was $10 I might buy it again but then again I might go with a Muscadet (Peppier?). Nice to see the screwcap. Good value but an additional $5 can buy a better experience.

The 2001 version of this wine was one of the TAA wines last year as chosen by DaveMci. As I recal I liked the 2001 a little better than the 2002. Very good value though. 87

Dripstone Cliffs - May 2005; 5/13/2005-5/27/2005 (Darwin NT, Australia): Clear and bright a very pale yellow colour. Fragrant on the nose with a mild herbal tones. Crisp acid with a medium length. Overall very pleasant.
