colour: just beautiful garnet red (surprisingly just some shy tawny pigments)
nose: very ripe fruits (cherry, blackberry), smoky, chocholate touch (oak), jam, some spicy notes, - veeeeery long final and great pronounced intensity. tertiary notes are dominating
acidity: medium+
tannin: very nice balanced. just nice integrated
body: full
alcohol: high
palate: powerful ripe and jammy fruits (cherrys, blackberry and some strawberry), forest leafs, mushroomsnice spicy notes (chili peper) and again the taste of chocolate. tertiary notes are dominating
finish: long
quality: very good to outstanding
Summarize: very great experience, p/l ok. compared to cicala more power, mature but on the other hand less fresh

This was an amazing wine. Decanted directly from the cellar and tasted over six hours. The first 2-3 hours after opening revealed an increasingly compelling wine. All standard typicity with a solid fruit and tannin backbone. By four hours, it started to shut down and was unchanging even 24 hours later.

Tasted at a wine dinner in NYC @ Marta. This was showing totally mature, with notes of dried flowers, but also ripe deep dark fruit, some licorice, smoke, sweet spices (a touch of oak), some tar and leather. It‘s full-bodied, dense structured, with medium-high tannin and medium-high acidity. Good length. A very good but not great wine from this producer, I sometimes struggle a little with. It‘s slightly modernish, but well made and seems significantly less extracted than the newer vintages, still a little bit of a bruiser though. It‘s probably more a matter of personal taste than quality, but I have also had too many off bottles from this producer over the years.

状态比较差的一瓶。酸梅、樱桃、番茄、甘草和泥土,以及很多的酱油氧化味道。与闻香相比,入口的果味更足,保留了不错的结构感,单宁也很细腻。随着继续醒酒,氧化向醋化的方向发展。由于没有了酱油的压制,涌现出更多香料和皮革气息,同时酒体也变得更加纤细,画风转变比较大。
上午开瓶,下午18:30入杯。抛开酒的状态不说,这家偏简约、开放、圆润的风格一直以来都和我对Barolo的审美相悖,所以给的分数很少超过90.作为3000价位的酒,实在意义不明。
