This wine was tasted in double-blind fashion at Vintage Wines, Ltd. The bottle was kindly provided by Marshall Banker. Medium garnet. Moderately intense nose of pomegranate, hazelnuts, mushrooms and tobacco. Medium-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity and light tannins. The flavors are in line with the nose and the medium-length finish is a bit tart. Drink now-12/15.

No formal notes, but this was enjoyable. Ripe, sweet fruit. Iron on the nose. What struck me most was that this is very round in the mouth, if that makes any sense. Worth the $40 paid and will certainly improve with time.

Didn't decant, but right off the bat the bouquet was perfumed and beautiful--the kind of nose that makes you fall in love with Burgundy. First night, nose was about a 94, taste about 89 (acidic, a white pepper note). Second night, taste improved to bring out a nice cherry note.

Delicious. Big fruit and good acidity. Tangy cherry, everything working well.
