Owen Roe DuBrul Vineyard Vertical Tasting (My House): Another crowd favorite and certainly near the top for me. Again, big masses of lush black fruit, silky texture, and sweet dark chocolate on the finish. Touches of wood and earth as well. Drinking spectacularly right now.

This wine makes me question the formula for computing the drinking window here on CT. Because this wine is NOT over the hill. This wine is in prime drinking window, and I'd say for at least another couple of years. Rich, but softening. Layers of fruit, nice touches of earthy cocoa, and tannins so fine they are like glass.

This wine is absolutely delightful. It is hard not to keep sipping. Opened, poured and drank half the bottle. The next day it was even better. Huge fruit profile, juicy, delicious. My last one. It will age another ten years easily.

An aging but solid wine. Full of blueberry and stone, old-worldish, with nice lift in the nose of blackberry and asphalt. Drink soon, but still all there.

I did not think this wine was over the hill or past prime as others have posted. It is a delicious cab with very good fruit. I am glad I have two more.
