Strong eucalyptus flavours combine nicely with dark berry aromas and strong support from the wood. Intense flavours but nearly subdued for a Greenock Creek. I like it. The wine needed air after decanting for an hour and opened up nicely. Next day it was still ok but a little bit less pleasant, so would suggest peak drinking now.

A perfect cork. 2007 a difficult drought low yielding vintage, purchase from the mailing list limited to 1 bottle per customer. 13.5% alcohol very low for GC wines (2006 Cabernet 18.5%). Dark garnet. Beautiful nose of blueberries and cassis. Odd powdery mouthfeel. Layers of complex flavours, cassis, brambles, but with a faded quality, dilute, like looking at a picture down a tunnel rather than up close. Doubtful it will improve. A consequence of a difficult vintage no doubt.
