  • The oak is far from integrated and while the wine has the stuffing to somewhat balance the wood the 2008 Folatières is rendered merely good due to a lack of judiciousness.

  • My last bottle, but wow this was a young beast!! So energetic and so radiant. It had a explosive nose of citrus, marmelade with a great minerality, slightly saline and an unbelievable texture which was at first slightly suave to change to a lithe dry, laser beam precise and uplifting. After a day, I am still shaking my head in disbelief and wondering what this could have been in a few years time... But life is beautiful, just to have had a chance to sip into this with my wife and kids. Cheers,

  • A splendor in a bottle. Very interesting as some thought the oak was about as distinguished as they had tasted and others thought it was totally integrated... I though this had an incredible complexity luminous saline, sweet, and a surprise was that as the temperature went up it actually got even drier and more complex, rather than gaining weight and fat textured. Most definitely ready to be enjoyed and within the next couple of years this will remain in its peak. Linear, mysterious at times yet generous. Cheers,

  • Sadly my last bottle. Needs perhaps 30 min of air in the open bottle as initially the acidity is a bit too dominant but then boom and wow as the palate opens up with wonderful white fruit and minerality. Also worth noting that all 9 bottles I have had showed perfectly, none was advanced let alone premox - remarkable for an 08 white Burgundy....

  • It has been almost two years since my last bottle but this is still / again showing superbly. I love this fine creamy texture, perfectly matched by acidity and the slight touch of oak. Excellent length too. No signs of tiring here. A bit sad to see that Asia has also discovered the beauty of white Burgundy and PYCM in the meantime - bought this for $64 only 4 years ago, and the going rate is now north of $200...
