Return to Aus; 6/23/2019-7/5/2019 (Adelaide, South Australia wine regions, Tassie, Yarra, etc.): Tried next to the '16. This was a wine that the current winemaker basically 'finished up' and thus was in a slightly different style to begin with most likely. Here I get green apple and lime and almost a bit of spring onion. There's a hint of that riesling petrol. And a touch of white flower. It's also kindof fun and seems to be going well, but I did like the freshness from the younger wine a bit better.

Derwent & Coal Valley wineries; 4/20/2011-4/21/2011 (Hobart, Tasmania): {screwcap, 13.7%, A$25} Aromas of lime and chalk. A high-acid, full-bodied palate of citrus-related flavours, with a dense texture and a longish, dry, but rather warm finish. A big bruiser of a riesling, not something you encounter too often. Probably a drink-earlier-rather-than-later proposition on that score, but a pleasing wine at this age.

Fresh apples on the nose. Good crisp palette with more apples, sweet fruit with long and dry finish.
