I liked it better for current drinking than the 2007 Ph Colin Clos St Jean I had recently. Still a fair amount of oak but this bottling seems to carry it better as it has nice green apple tartness on the finish which balances the caramel oaky tones nicely and delivers a livelier overall package. Good length, freshness and balance - I really enjoyed it.

PnP. Pale straw yellow/gold. Nose of hay and green apple, minerals, oak. On the palate medium bodied, more apple, moderate oak influence. Finishes with acidity, oak, tart apple.

Light to medium-light straw/gold hue. Aromatic nose shows green apples, apple dumpling, grapefruit zest, subtle minerals, and spice from oak. Light body. The fruit is more citrus based on the palate, and less overt in comparison with the nose. The moderate-plus acidity lends a certain verve and lift to the overall presentation, and moderate close is tinged with minerals and notes from the oak. Some heat as well. Overall, a decent white Burgundy and a decided value at less the $25. Drink now and over the next 1-2 years.

Neither super oaky or super crisp. Not particularly memorable, but a nice drinker for the price.
