Dinner at BRABO (BRABO, Alexandria, VA): Medium red color. Nose has red currants, cherry, spice and light sous bois. Palate is light-medium bodied, mature tannins, mature in general. Drinking nicely now.

Quite blocky at first with the barest suggestion of sweet raspberries along with some oak derived cedar and coffee. With air the sweetness of fruit intensified, showing a pleasant Turkish delight character but the wine had more angles than a year 10 maths exam. A decent enough drink with some earth but the bottle was only half drunk, an extremely rare occurrence Chez Holmes.
