drank along the whole weekend at first with a sirloin steak - the wine is delicate, gentle, soft, round red, hints of blue fruit, light earthiness, spicy hints, excellent acidity level, mildly to moderately tannic finish. quite good complexity for a village Vosne, though not very impressing as a good premier cru. Nevertheless, very enjoyable on its own. after 16-20 hours a bit more expressive, fine delicate, enjoyable at any time.

I haven't tried one of these for a year or so and, unfortunately, the stewed characteristics are dominating. There's still nice Vosne fruit and spice here, but sadly, they're overshadowed by the stewed notes. In cases like this, having purchased from a reliable vendor, I always wonder where, in the journey from the Domaine to my cellar, this wine was mishandled and cooked.

Opened, not decanted for 3 hours or so. Fairly soft, round red and blue fruit, earth, spice, some white pepper on the mildly to moderately tannic finish. There's pretty good depth here for a village Vosne, but this bottle was showing some slight stewed notes. We'll have to see what the next bottle brings.

2 hour slow-ox. Lovely Burgundian bouquet. On the palate it was medium bodied,, balanced with good acidity for aging. Finish was soft. While a very nice wine, a bit expensive for a Villages.
