  This is fully mature classic barbaresco from BG. I think in prime window but prob close to start of devline. Drink now-5yrs

  Relatively dark brownish red
  Nose changing from raisins over coffee to typical ripe Nebbiolo fruit.
  Medium long, at first some flatness midpalatewise, after 3hrs Harmonized.
  Good, but meanwhile I like good produttori wines better for a fraction of the price.

  A fascinating wine to follow over a several hours long meal, and one which by the end of the evening was my clear WOTN choice. When first opened, after an hour or so decant, the wine was tightly coiled. The powerful aromatics screamed Nebbiolo but also showed some heat. As the wine settled in, a smokiness emerged, and this expressed itself to me as a chewy mouthfeel. I loved the texture, and in time the fruit caught up, rounding into a wine showing elegance, and tremendous typicity, yet more concentration than I would have expected for the vintage. Flat-out delicious stuff.

  What a disappointment and yet another flawed bottled from WHWC. The cork was perfect, a nice tight seal. The wine just tasted weird. Not corked or stewed but highly advanced and maderized.
