Nose - dark fruits, cocoa Mouth - full court press fruit attack spanning the whole spectrum from blackberry to plum to raspberry. Undeniably delicious and with a real zippy and lively midpalate and finish. Almost reminds me of a lovely gelato experience. Showing great today.

Decanted through a Vinturi then sat for 3 hours. A strange blend of 41% grenache, 40% petite sirah, and 19% zinfandel, it tastes like 90% zinfandel with an added 10% petite for depth of color and tannic structure. To me, the grenache was overwhelmed and seemingly absent. The flavor profile is mature plum moving into prune. Noticeable acid pushes the fruit across the palate, but it is just too one note for my taste. I liked it better at release.

This seems Zin dominated, big, dense, heavy, it's got a solid fruit core and may have show some more complexity on the second night.
