agree with other user than very hard to get any terroir here and this could be from anywhere it seems. that said, it is a very impressive wine, very big and fruit forward. well made, but put together and smooth. great modern example.

(Tasted alongside a 2005 Clarendon Hills Astralis.) When tasting this I thought: "Marvellous and meticulous winemaking, but no idea what it is..." The 2007 Contador reveals violets, cedar wood, cigar boxes and a massive impression of dark fruit. A bit tight at first, but after a few minutes it is singing in the glass. Winemaker Benjamin Romeo has certainly hit my weak spot here. Normally I do not touch Riojas, but this 100 % Tempranillo is utterly amazing. It is still a baby but will develop into a beauty with a few more years in the cellar. Highly recommended. (Score is 96-98)

Nice and smooth Tempranillo, full of dark berry flavours. The tannins are nice integrated. Drink now or within the next 3 years. (2019)
