  1st year release of this wine. Still looks pretty fresh in the glass, on the tiniest amount of bricking. Nose cherry, cola, some funk and earth. Taste changed over a couple hours, Fruit was red and black cherry, strong earthy, touch of menthol, some drying tannins on the end with a touch of heat. Drink up within 2 years if you have this wine.

  We drank two bottles of this wine during our stay in France. The first bottle seemed to be more impacted by new wood than the second. Either way, this is a more serious, upright Burgundy with flavors of dark cherry fruit, sous-bois and cedar. While the oak is more apparent the first hour and then seem to settle in with air, it never loses its grip in this bottle. I also find the wine slightly dry in the back of the mouth. Paid EUR19.50 in Geant which seems like a fair price for what you get.
