-- TN is from Day 3 -- -- 50% Syrah, 50% Petite Sirah --
NOSE: savory bent; dark; some sweet oak; tar.
BODY: garnet-black color of great depth; large-grained particulate matter; {forgot to note weight}
TASTE: medium+ to high acidity; not funky; ripe purple/black fruits; "dark"; strong hint of oak; 14.3% alc. doesn't stick out; not very tannic, but otherwise still showing quite youthful; I liked this more on Day 3 than I did on Day 1.

This continues to be amazingly light on its feet for a syrah / petite syrah blend, with tons of orange peel and bright red fruit wrapped around a striking acidic core. The tannins are starting to resolve and back off a bit putting this in a great place for current consumption. Blossoms and gains complexity after a couple hours open. Great, and a QPR steal.

It definitely needed some age, but was worth the wait. Nicely integrated, good bright fruit, plenty of structure.

This bottle was not stored in our cellar due to lack of space so was probably "older" as a result. Luscious, aromatic and the tannins were tame.

Tannins dominate. Should've left it in the cellar until 2017 or drunk it in July with a huge grilled steak in 90F+ weather.
