Bought from auction with an excellent fill level but signs of slightly leakage through the capsule. Cork was very crumbly and broke apart completely even with Durant.
Deep ruby colour, pale at the rim. Aromatic nose of blackcurrant leaf.
Quite closed on the palette on opening but with some time opened up with delicious flavours of raspberry, earth, chocolate, cassis, some florals and still showing some grippy tannins. A medium length finish with some notes of spice and caramel revealing the age of the wine.
Really enjoyable Christmas day wine with Roast beef.

Decanted 2 hours (sediment and opened up after an hour). Reddish violet. On nose this has dark fruits/berries, anise, vanilla and some pepper. Palate features medium bodied fruit, mineral, light (but very useful) acidity and silky tannins. Has finesse and elegance despite bold leanings. Paired well with grilled Iberico tenderloins and golden beet risotto. In a good place now, but no hurry.

Very good viscosity and a complex and refined nose of vainilla, licorice and a hint of animal aromas. In teh mouth it has very elegant, silky tannins, with good balance and long on red fruit, mineral and animal notes. Great wine

At a nice point now, approaching full maturity.

This Priorat was delicious. It's in what I assume will be a slow graceful decline.

Dark fruit (blueberry, slight cherry), cassis, spice, good acidity. Lingering finish. Pretty enjoyable.
