Four years since my last bottle and still showing great. I think it has leveled off a bit, but it is still has the big red fruit elements that a Barbera brings yet the acidity for a clean finish that I expect from Piedmont. My favorite Wagyu burger wine since it needs the intensity of the fruit and the acid structure to cut the rich fattiness of the beef. I think my favorite consistent Barbera bottling now. Worth the extra money to me compared to other producers except maybe Conterno in some vintages.

Blind tasted. Dark. Tarry nose with dark forest berries and eau de vie. Smoky on the palate. Rich. Cocoa and mineral finish with orange peel zest. Tannins fully resolved. The hot vintage shows and personally I would drink up.

Absolutely stunning! Rich deep black cherry fruit with a full long clean finish. Showed some nutmeg and a tiny bit of anise on the finish. One of the best Barbera's I have had in a long time. I think it is just coming into it's drinking window for several years of enjoyment.

Double decanted, slow ox'd for seven hours, then decanted for two hours at dinner. Opaque purple colour that stains the glass. Monstrous, lush nose of vanilla, crushed blackberries, blueberries, figs, tar, and smoke. Full-bodied and unctuous, with fantastic acidity that prevents the wine from being heavy. Long finish, ~40-45s, with more crushed berries and smoke. This is a fantastic wine that is painfully young. Drink 2017+.
