Tasted this wine with 20 other wines from Northwest Italy that excluded Nebbiolos from the Barolo and Barbaresco appellations. Pitch black in color, still firmly acidic and tannic, very concentrated, vividly fruity, mouth coating, beautifully aging, and rich. A wine deservedly famous for demonstrating how great Barbera can be, even side by side with excellent Nebbiolos from outside those two appellations world famous for the high quality of their Nebbiolos.

Last bottle of the 2007. "Sad" does not say it any better.

Deep, dark crimson, almost black in color. Wonderful dark fruit. As good as it ever was.

A year ago it was superb at a 92. Over the last year, it had gone from superb to "even more so.". Wow, what a wine.

From 1 liter bottle. Still going strong and many years ahead, but also no need to wait.
