Blind Tasting Priorats (Tom's House, Palo Alto, CA): Bretty nose, otherwise not a whole lot going on, maybe some red berries and spice. Medium bodied with low to med acidity. Sweet blackberry and raspberry fruit, some funky, bretty notes too. (my 8th, group's 4th)

I tasted this out at a wine bar and the lighting wasn't great. In Appearance the wine was clear with a medium ruby hue and long, thin legs. The Nose on the wine was clean and developing with a medium intensity. The aromas were very fragrant with notes of cigar box and cedar along with dark fruits of black currants. The Palate was dry with medium acidity and medium+ body and medium+ alcohol that was very well balanced. The tannins here were medium+, but not overwhelming. The flavor intensity was also medium+ with notes of dark fruits like plum, blackberry and respberyy along with notes of smoke and tobacco. Overall, this is a very good wine that is drinking now, but could also lay down for a few more years.
