  • Hasn’t budged since its release, totally bound up by sulphur and acidity (not a real problem as sulphur and acid are the white wine drinkers friend as far as I’m concerned). A strong scent of onion skins greets the nose. There’s also something sweet and melon like, kind of similar to honeydew. It is compact in the mouth with decent intensity and a suggestion of musk and dried flowers as it breathes. It’s perhaps just taking on a little toasty development and is a wine that I like very much.

  • Opened for a party. Needs some air time. Nicely balanced. More earthy than fruity.

  • A blend o muscat, viogner and macabeu grapes.
    Strange and difficult wine.
Terrific minerality, scents of goat cheese, citrus and acacia.
Medium - bodied with high acidity.
Flavors, of corn oil, chalk, bitter orange and nuts, on a lemony background.
    Medium finish.

  • This is like one of those extra pungent smelly cheeses that somehow taste just awesome. This has a rotten eggs strong sulphur smell, which is quite powerful, but don't let it scare you - there is a beautiful wine underneath. Once I had the wine, it all made sense - it does smell like the seaweed that comes out during rough seas... This wine has crazy minerality - almost sea salt like, with beautiful underlying flowers and white fruits. A touch of lemon on the long finish. Very light and elegant on the palate, it was a perfect pairing with the cod and great on its own. This is very chablis like and very enjoyable.

  • Funky nose of eggs/sulfur which blew off to zesty fruits, orange and herbs. Medium body with medium finish. Not for everyone although I found it interesting and kept going back for a bit more. Tweeted @jamiegoode on whether this was the house style or maybe extreme reduction. His response was house style.
