Dark plum color, good clarity. Touch of heat and raspberry nose. Chamborg palate with cherry notes. Good structure and slight grip finish. Excellent with pasta and red sauce. Could be taken for a sangiovese blind.

A mix of dark berry tones show strongly on this wine’s nose. Subtle notes of cherry, blackcurrant, and blackberry all show at once with black tea, spice, and vanilla opening up as well.
The palate reveals mixed red fruits, with berries, dark, ripe cherries, and a faint hint of blackberry. An interesting blend of dried flowers and vineyard dust show at this wine’s core, with pleasant oak influences revealed by tones of vanilla and spice around the edges. This is a much lighter style of Malbec than is typically found from Argentina. It’s easy drinking and very food friendly, with all the ripe fruit you’d expect from California in a medium bodied style that could go with just about anything. Well done.
I'm not malbec expert by any stretch of the imagination but this is a nice wine at a good price. Smooth on the palate and nice mouthfeel with smoke and wood.
