Magnum that I purchased at the release party. PnP that showed well; probably even better a few years ago. Slightly more tertiary than secondary now with a good core of mature fruit, fully resolved tannins and slowly fading structure. The second half of the bottle was in just as good shape on night two.

Very dark red/purple color. Decanted for 30 minutes. Drank 1 glass over an hour. This was even better today, showing some fresh forest floor, violets, nice black fruits, cassis, black cherry, and some mint. The palate also had the nice black fruits, oak, bitter dark chocolate, wild blueberry, and nice tannins that hold some tension. There was something somewhat unique overall that distinguished this nicely. Not quite sure what it was exactly, but it was quite good and not showing any sign of fading either.

A Wild Wednesday (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red/purple color with mild bricking. Coravined a small pour into glasses and tasted over 30 minutes, I couldn't resist sneaking a little taste of this for all of us today. I'm planning on this wine for Easter for my Dad, but you know, I better make sure its ok first... right? Good news, it's fine. Not quite as earthy as previous bottles, but that dark fruit is still intact and the tannins looks to be well integrated. I'll give this 30 to 60 minutes or so when I open it. Follow up to come. 91+pts.

I love to see how older vintages age compared to how the pros' rate them. This scored sub 90 by both wine spectator and wine advocate. CT rating are much more accurate than the pro's. A very old world nose and the palate was very fresh with bright red fruit. A great wine to try at 11+ years and shows the greatness of the 2002 vintage while defying the pro's opinions many years later.
