Still hasn’t developed the flavour or aromatics you would like, it’s got a lovely texture and good persistence, good but an underperformer at this stage at least

2008 red Burgs (Noize): A richer, more exotic wine than the village that accompanied it, but not necessarily more enjoyable than it. Spice box and Cherry Drops on the nose, and lots of purple fruit and a touch of sherbert on the palate. At first the strawberry-flavoured finish seemed long and fine, but as time passed it seemed to clam up and shorten. I liked this a lot, but was very slightly unsatisfied given the pedigree of the vineyard; whether it will improve seems unclear, given the relatively light structure.

At home unexpectedly and needed a glass of Burg, got a couple of these given to me so just popped and poured, ok, blatant infanticide but still very enjoyable, not yet shut down, all primary aroma and flavour bursting out, drank very well, better the following night whilst cooking for NYE. I think this will get a lot better tbh but i'm not going to wait, will look for an op to drink its twin…. is it really 1er cru qty ??

Nick's 2008 Burgundy - Noize (Noizé, London): Red fruit, touch of spice, florals, soft tannins, medium length finish, feels a touch flat.
