Final bottle and a perfect one. Oyster shells, candied lemon, herbs, white flowers, hints of honey and gunpowder, deep but fresh as a daisy; intense but so light and seamless, fresh as a mountain stream, brimming with chalky energy; excellent length with a touch of salted butter. Perfectly at one with itself, great finesse and subtlety, like a flawless diamond. This is something only the most exalted terroirs in Chablis and Champagne can deliver. Chef d'oeuvre.

After a few not-so-good bottles this one is perfect. It takes me right back to my 5-6-2010 tasting note, even if it seems slightly smoother and a bit more floral. For the rest it is still as fresh as a mountain stream, with perfect balance and style, almost impossibly light yet intense and long-lived, very subtle, with touches of herbs, honey, and salty minerality; very good length.

Flabby and tired. Seems to gain minerality with air and the fear of old apples in a loft disappears, but even then there is little else than the aroma of millions of years old shells.

This bottle showed a slight impurity that seemed to dissipate. Fresh as mountain water, lovely minerality, lively acidity, elegant and intense, honey and salted butter. Excellent length, a very complete wine. There is considerable bottle variation but perfect bottles should easily last until 2020.
