Guys Port Weekend - Seattle - February 2022; 2/4/2022-2/6/2022 (Seattle, Washington): Bottled in 2006. Amber-orange in color. A touch of cinnamon and red fruits on the nose. Rich mouthfeel and incredible balance. Amazing wine with great balance and bright acidity. I think that the 1961 is probably one of the best Colheitas that Krohn produced.

2021 FTLOP Harvest Tour; 9/19/2021-10/2/2021 (Portgugal): Bottled in 2010. Extremely dark brown in color with yellow on the edge. Intense, incredible nose of mahogany, vinegrenio (little vinegar), molasses, and espresso powder. Very intense, savory notes of dark chocolate, light soy sauce and rich intenseness on the palate. Very long finish with some tannins and just a touch of bitterness.

A 2013 bottling. Decanted, leaving behind a bit of fine-grain sediment. Luscious, sweet, nutty; pronounced caramel notes. The finish was clean, crisp and up-lifting, with a nice refreshing citrus-like acidity.

1983 bottling. Palate was quite intense but the bouquet was notably damaged on this bottle.

A 2011 bottling. Great as always. Superb definition and acidity to go with the caramel and rancio flavors.
