Drank this bottle during two days. Upon popping there was some vibrant and pleasant aromas coming out. After ½ hour decant the smell had settled down, showing just some salt liquorice and hints of mineral. Likewise on the palate, medium bodied, salt liquorice and a tiny touch of dark sweet fruit.Firm and gentle tannins. After one night in the fridge (vacuum cork) it hadn´t evolved into anything exciting; still just salt liquorice on the nose and palate with very little fruit left. Disappointing after reading the previous praising notes. It was quite drinkable of course, but obviously very tired and going down hill. Time to drink up.

Decanted for about 30 mins. Oooh, what a nose! Excellent aromas of red fruit, leather, orange peel, barnyard, just super good. The palate does show the age, just a tad over the hill, lots of tannins still, but the fruit is starting to disappear, but nevertheless most excellent tastes. This is really great right now, elegant, tasty and highly enjoyable.

Red berry fruit on the nose with fine vegetal and floral touches, plum, animality and liquorice. Fullbodied and smooth balanced palate showing some mellowed ageing. Florality and salt liquorice complementing the fruit. Good length. A rather nice glass of wine. Nero d'Avola with ten years of age. Works.

very dark and extracted. alcohol black fruit sweet and pretty red cherries, spice, very smooth tannins, good acidity. A good food wine. At its peak or slightly past. Shiraz-like.
