My oh my. The color is crisp orange (can this be called an orange wine?). Nose has caramelized orange marmalade with a hint of oak. Palate is sweetish and oaky with orange marmalade and lime peels. A beautiful wine!

Had hoped for a wine for the savory dessert course after a 1985 Fortia CNP. Waited way too long. Color was straw yellow, and nose was akin to spoiled grapefruit. Wine had become bitter and out of balance. Twenty years ago, this wine was stupendous. My fault, not the vintner's.

A 40th Birthday Celebration (River North, Chicago IL): Small glass, brief note. Shockingly fresh with very bright fruit, lots of energy. Refreshing and certainly enjoyable.
