  SLDS September 2016: Ash, toast, cherry, pencil and raspberry. Sweetly fruited palate, there is some good spice and a bright lift on the finish. A little less textually interesting than the 2010 but still very fine.

  Cass Mono, NY: My first experience with an Palacios. New World, lush, perfume nose. Center fruit, well integrated, well-balanced palate reads the same way on the finish. Some red fruit and very pure all around. Burgundy notes.

  Not having a Bierzo benchmark, all I can say is if you like young burgundies, you'll like this. All purified red fruit on nose and palate. Long finish. Wish I had more of these.
