100% cab. 14.5% abv. I gave it several hours out of the bottle before enjoying. Enjoyed over 3 days. Great fruit, but not as concentrated and dense as one might expect at the price point. Like a dense pinot. Bright, berry notes.

This wine is what I dislike about Napa. Decanted and left to breathe for about an hr, then consumed over the next 3 hours. It's a well-made wine, and it has years left on it, but it's seemingly stripped of any character, charm, or uniqueness. It's very modern in style, big body, concentrated fruit and little else. Reminds me of a winemaker I met yrs ago whose goal in crafting wine was "eliminating flaws". This wine has no technical flaws, but maybe as a consequence, is simply boring and overpriced. The score doesn't consider the QPR, otherwise, it would be about 87.

Great wine but this is an ‘07 and should be rocking now. I’m beginning to think that Fairchild/Stones are meant to be consumed early in their window rather than aged.

Beautiful bottle. Cracked this last night, decanted for about 30 min and then drank over about 3 hours, while it evolved. Deep, dark, ruby wine in appearance. The nose was very intense and perfumed with notes of purple flowers, vanilla spice, and charred earth. The Palate was equally intense with medium+ body and alcohol, beautifully balanced acidity and medium+ tannins that didn't overpower. It showed flavors of cassis and black cherry with vanilla, toast, and liqourice. It had a long finish with sweet spice and smoke, although, as it evolved in the decanter, it seemed to die a little bit on the back palate. Overall, a very high quality wine.
