A really delicious and still surprisingly youthful second tier sauterne enjoyed recently at the end of a great cajun meal with a rich vanilla custard and the pairing could hardly have been better. Drinking great now and if anything might benefit from a short decant, acidic and structured enough for several more years of cellaring. A great QPR wine at our acquisition cost of around $25 / 375 cc bottle, I do recommend this. Light amber, aromatic, rich and balanced, not overpoweringly sweet or cloying at all, decadent. Nose of burnt sugar / caramel, apricot and a strong persimmony finish with primary flavors of peach, yellow pear, caramel and a surprisingly light note of vanilla on the very end.

Fully mature, nectar-like. Well balanced, honeysuckle and peach notes. Lovely!
